Patrick Corbett
An academic geologist by profession, Patrick has been involved with the Centre since picking up poetry as a pastime following retirement several years ago. He has found that geopoetics links interests in geology and poetry, melding arts and science, and through the Centre has met all sorts of inspiring people. He feels fortunate to have been in communication with Kenneth White when publishing “Earth Lines: Geopoetry and Geopoetics”, the latter noting the volume as “a milestone on the long road to a complex field”. Patrick has led geopoetic field trips in Luing, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Dorset whilst serving in a role supporting the Director, helping navigate this radical field.
